In September we celebrated the beginning of a new era in primary care and general practice, with the transition of practice leadership to longstanding Beach Street Family Practice General Practitioner Dr. Harjinder Singh.

Having started the Woolgoolga Family Practice in 1981, founding principal Dr. John Kramer has passed the torch to his long-time colleague, Dr. Harjinder Singh. This move allows Dr. Kramer to transition to a part-time role, continuing to contribute his medical expertise to patients ensuring continuity in the exceptional care that Beach Street Family Practice is known for.

As mentioned in Woopi News, the practice will remain committed to its core mission, – serving the community with a wide range of essential family healthcare services. Dr. Kramer, with his extensive experience, expressed his delight in Dr. Singh’s commitment to upholding the high standard of healthcare that Woolgoolga and its surrounding district have come to rely on.

Dr. Kramer’s passion for working with children experiencing learning and behavioural difficulties remains. However, this important area of care has seen an overwhelming demand, prompting Dr. Kramer to temporarily halt accepting new referrals, until more doctors can be recruited and trained to address this growing need. It’s a testament to his dedication that the request for his expertise has grown so substantially.

As we look to the future of Beach Street Family Practice, our commitment to serving the health and well-being of the community remains unwavering. Dr. Singh’s leadership, coupled with Dr. Kramer’s continued involvement, promises a bright and healthy future for all those who call Woolgoolga home.

This transition marks the beginning of a new chapter, one filled with hope, dedication, and a continued commitment to the health and happiness of every patient. The entire Beach Street Family Practice team is excited to embark on this journey, and we are looking forward to many more years of serving the wonderful Woopi community we love
