About Dr Harriet Playle.
Dr Harriet Playle moved to northern NSW in 2002. Having studied at Sydney University, completed her hospital training on the Central Coast at Gosford and Wyong Hospitals, followed by working as a CMO/locum in Accident and Emergency and Psychiatry in various places in Sydney and regional NSW whilst completing a Masters in Public Health, she was thrilled to settle on the beautiful Mid-North Coast whilst raising a family and enjoying the location with all of its stunning beaches and waterways.
She started at BSFP in 2002 as a GP registrar, then moved around gaining experience working in women’s health, indigenous health, refugee health and general practice. She feels privileged to continue to care for the Woolgoolga community in general practice and meet people of many different ages and backgrounds.
She would like to assist community members to maintain their good health and she enjoys working with patients to solve any medical puzzle or problem that they present with and to help with navigation of the health system whilst there is a need to access care. You might see her out and about attempting to surf with the family, swimming laps, throwing a waterpolo ball or walking the headlands in between the activities that accompany being a mum.
