You can book an appointment with your doctor as soon as you know or think you may be pregnant. At this visit, you and your doctor can discuss what type of care you would like to have, and when and where you should have your next visit.

Your first antenatal care appointment very important. You can expect your GP will confirm your pregnancy, assess your health and give you some information that you will need in the months ahead. You will also be able to discuss who you choose to provide your ongoing pregnancy. Your doctor may also offer information to help change things that could harm your baby, such as drinking alcohol, smoking and using recreational drugs.

Our GPs provide woman-centred care focusing on your unique needs, expectations and aspirations. We recognise your right to self-determination in terms of choice, control and continuity of care.
